Bio: I have loved photography since the age of 7, when my big brother gave me a little camera ordered out of the Sears catalog at Christmastime. Growing up in Alaska, I spent many hours in my father's home-made darkroom, watching and learning as he processed his film and photos. I was on the yearbook staff during junior high and high school. We did everything from the ground up, from filling film cartridges from a bulk roll to photography to developing the film, processing the pictures, cropping and pasting onto the dummies. The smell of developing chemicals brings on a wonderful nostalgia for me, and I still find that black and white photography with my 25 year old Pentax K1000 is the most satisfying.
